Mel has been married to her husband Dave for 16 years, they have 3 children Benjamin, Cynthia , and Rebecca. They have lived in Lima since 2018 after having moved from Michigan, Washington, California, and Illinois. Ohio truly feels like home, and they have set down roots and become involved in their church and community.

Mel brings marketing and organizational experience having worked 12 years as a retail manager and currently owning her own successful home bakery business. She asked Jesus into her heart at the age of 13 at a Christian horse camp in Michigan and knows firsthand how God uses his creation, the horse, to bring healing and hope to people burdened with grief and loss of direction in life.

Mel met Sarah shortly after moving to Lima in 2018 and has been looking forward to the day that Saving Grace Farm Ministry will become more than a dream and a conversation between friends. Planting seeds of faith and hope in Jesus Christ is what drives Mel to be a part of this ministry. She can’t wait to see how God will move and use Saving Grace Farm Ministry for His glory.
